As a Senior Advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy’s first Under Secretary for Infrastructure David Crane, Elaine is focused on private sector engagement and catalyzing the market liftoff of critical clean energy infrastructure technologies through Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding to achieve a net zero economy by 2050.
Before joining the DOE, Elaine co-founded RMI’s global climate tech startup accelerator program Third Derivative. She also supported the relaunch of Generate Capital in early 2020, led the VERGE climate tech conference programming at GreenBiz Group, and served as a global utility consultant and sustainability manager at DNV GL after switching careers as a green building consultant and engineer.
Elaine graduated with a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering and Masters in Engineering Management from Duke University.
