No LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas)

Over five years ago rural Oregonians and Southern Washingtonians began receiving letters in the mail explaining the new proposed Liquefied Natural Gas infrastructural projects and associated pipelines that may impact them. For the last few years these neighbors have been organizing their communities, and creating one of the largest grassroots movements this region has ever seen. Over the last few years, students and youth have been joining in offering new voices, perspectives and POWER.
Together through educational events, lobbying, rallies, and maintaining constant pressure, we have successfully brought politicans to our side. We are now using the newly gained, and earned, allies to stop these projects once and for all in Oregon and southern Washington.
Students and youth have:
- Organized powerful photo petitions and presented them to the governor's office
- Lobbied our representatives muliple times against LNG
- Bird-dogged Secretary of State and State Treasurer of Oregon while on campaign trail
- Held LNG educational events on campuses and communities
- Participated in listening projects in communities impacted by the proposals
