Seven Steps to Recruiting for Cascade POWER SHIFT:

    1. See if you can reserve or rent a van from your campuses' motor pool or arrange drivers to car pool to the summit. It'll be easier to recruit if you can provide transportation for students to the summit.
    2. Contact the professors you know (or can find emails to) using this template professor email. The email asks them to help you recruit students by giving you names and posting Cascade POWER SHIFT to their listserves.
    3. Find the email addresses for the secretaries of the top 10 departments at your school that you think would be interested. Send them an email asking them to post this summit announcement to their department listserve. Also send out this announcement to the listserves you have access to like clubs or student groups you are a member of.
    4. Invite all your friends! You'll have more fun if all your buddies are there too. Hit up all your friends and message your groups on Facebook and MySpace as well. This is a quick and easy way to get the word out.
    5. Put up the Cascade Power Shift poster all over campus.
    6. Invite your classmates. Print out and bring these flyers to your classes and hand them out to students. You can even see if your professor or teacher will let you give a short announcement about the summit before passing out the flyers.
    7. Recruit for Cascade POWER SHIFT at your campus or community's Focus the Nation event! Print out these flyers and pass them out. Ask if you or the FtN organizer can made announcements. Use this opportunity to reach lots of students.
